French Earl Grey
An invigorating blend for lovers of black tea. This elegant brew is ideal for an afternoon pick-me-up that’s rich in antioxidants.
Black teas antioxidants are polyphenols which have been found to block DNA damage associated with toxic chemicals. Tannins in black tea also have a therapeutic effect on the gastric lining and improve digestive activity.
Bergamot is a small citrus tree which blossoms during the winter. It gives the beautiful citrus flavour of our Earl Grey.
Ingredients
Camellia sinenisis (black tea), Citrus bergamia (bergamot), Rosa sp. (rose), Centaurea cyanus (cornflower) & Calendula officinalis (calendula).
Brewing
Place a heaped teaspoon (7.5 grams) of tea per cup (250ml) into a teapot or infuser. Add filtered water at 75ºc–85ºc and allow to infuse for 3–5+ minutes. 'A London Fog' is brewed with mylk, add a heaped teaspoon to jug or pot. Add 30ml of filtered water at 75ºc–85ºc and a teaspoon of honey if preferred. Allow to infuse for 3–5+ minutes. Add mylk & steam or simmer on stove top until reaching 70ºc. Strain and serve.
Store in cool place.
